University of Kent
School of Arts
Hawkins\Brown was appointed as Architects for the design of the new School of Arts at the University of Kent.
The current accommodation is located in ten separate buildings on the Canterbury campus of the University. In many cases, the accommodation is not appropriate for the function, with the majority of staff accommodated in former student residential accommodation.
The proposal is to consolidate the school's rehearsal and teaching spaces into one dedicated facility sited on the Canterbury campus providing accommodation for all three sections of the school - drama, film and visual arts.
