Eltham Hill Technology College
London Borough of Greenwich

Hawkins\Brown has been appointed as one of five architectural practices to deliver new and refurbished secondary schools within the London Borough of Greenwich under the Building Schools for the Future programme. Eltham Hill Technology College is a 7FE girls school on a tight site adjacent to a busy road, and including a listed structure. We have acted as lead consultant in developing a scheme to retain and refurbish the original school buildings whilst adding 7000sqm of new build. The school's vision for the future centres around innovation in teaching and sustainability, and the design has been developed to reflect this. Teaching spaces are flexible and adaptable, and sustainable features have been included as part of the educational experience of the building.
