New Crossrail Station
Hawkins\Brown, as part of a multi-disciplinary team led by Arup/Atkins, has been appointed by Crossrail (CRL) to undertake the detailed design of the new Crossrail Station at Tottenham Court Road. The team will be taking the design through RIBA Stages D, E & F.
The station, which is scheduled for completion by April 2011, is predicted to become one of the busiest on the route. At the Eastern end, it will integrate with London Underground's upgrade scheme to provide an interchange with the Northern Line. The Western entrance at Dean Street will give Soho a much needed transport node by providing access to Crossrail and to the Central Line.
