| Power of 8 Date added 02.09.09 by Darryl Chen PublicationI am an invited participant in the 'Power of 8' project - eight people working together to build a public conversation about their aspirations for an optimistic future. In July, the Watermans Gallery in west London sponsored a public event to kick off the project which was also a 'London 2012 Open Weekend Event'. Asked to iconify an aspect of future vision within their neighbourhood, a steady stream of public participants proposed walking houses, snow stimulators, solar powered airships, public free boxes, new wireless connectivity and human spinning tops. Optimistic, yes! But the project goes on. Final results from the eight participants will be exhibited 22 September. |
